SEO Executive (Internship)

Job Description

Assist in performing on-page SEO tasks, such as updating page content, meta tags, internal linking, etc., using WordPress or CMS platforms
Upload, format, and optimise blog posts and service pages with SEO best practices (image alt text, headings, URL slug optimisation, etc.)
Perform competitor SEO analysis and compile findings in clear and structured formats to assist in strategy building
Collaborate with SEO specialists on technical SEO audits to identify and fix the issues
Support SEO specialists in backlink research by identifying potential sites for outreach or guest posting
Assist SEO specialists in monitoring keyword ranking, setting up the heatmap and conducting session recording analysis for client’s SEO project
Assist the marketing team in updating, scheduling posts and managing company’s social media accounts
Research and propose new and innovative ideas to streamline current processes using Gen AI and AI agents
Learn and apply the latest SEO & GEO best practices under the guidance of experienced team members to support real-world projects

Responsibilities

Malaysian students or fresh graduates currently pursuing or holding a diploma/degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, Business, or a related field
Comfortable with data entry, research tasks, and using tools in Google Workspace
Good command of English (written and verbal). Bonus if you can write in Malay and/or Mandarin
Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about SEO, GEO, AI and digital marketing
Able to commit to at least 3 months of internship with a hybrid or remote work arrangement (based in Malaysia)
Familiarity with digital tools such as WordPress, Canva, or basic HTML is a plus
Possess a responsible attitude, able to meet deadlines, and willing to take feedback to improve
Bonus if you have a blog, basic knowledge of SEO tools, or have taken SEO-related online courses
